Douglas Arnell Miller

Douglas Arnell Miller – a 73 year-old lifelong resident of Mobile passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012. He retired at age 65 after many dedicated years of service and was a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church. Mr. Miller was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He loved his family above all else and will always be remembered as a man of great strength and integrity. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Miller and Urcle Lee Godwin, and brother, William D. Miller. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Nancy V. Miller; children, Robbin Boyd (Jon), Steve Miller (Gina), Danny Miller, and Mitch Miller (Lisa); sister, Joyce Miller; step-father, James Godwin; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Tillman, Travis Allan, Luke Miller, and Alex Miller.
