Dorothy Nichelson Harvey, 89, of Semmes, entered into rest Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at her home. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Oakleigh Chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. Interment will follow at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Lucedale, MS. Rev. Tim Whigham will officiate.
Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Nichelson, Sr. and two children, Floyd Nichelson, Jr. and Billy Floyd Nichelson.
She is survived by two children, Marie (Jonny) Gray and John Nichelson; four grandchildren, Susan A. O’Connor and three others; a sister, Lumerl Lawely; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy Gray, James A. Waldrop, III, Alex S. Waldrop, Robby O’Connor, Tashina A. Gray, and Noah S. Waldrop; and four great-great-grandchildren.
