Dorothy Waldon Collins

Dorothy Delores Waldon Collins passed away peacefully on June 13th, 2022 at the age of 84. Dorothy was born and raised in Mobile and attended Murphy High School. Dorothy spent her working days as an employee for the Mobile Press Register newspaper. She retired from there after diagramming the newspaper for 31 years. When she wasn’t at work she could be found at any of her grandchildrens’ sporting events or feeding her family. The most important thing in her life was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas S. Waldon and Lillie Mae Waldon Bethea, as well as two great grandsons, Landon James McEnery and Mark Elliott Nolan, Jr.. She is survived by her four children, Sherry Pond, Darlene Stein(David), Benny Collins(Carrie) and Michael Collins(Lisa); eight grandchildren, Mark Nolan(Diana), Shane Collins, Kristen McEnery(Robert), Catherine Lockard(Derek), Joshua Collins(Tammy), Michael Collins Jr.(Christin), Shawn Collins(Bethany) and Korey Collins(Scarlett); and twelve great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Graicyn, Callie, Madisyn, Peyton, Mason, Myles, Wyatt, Kennedy, Jackson, Tripp and Karleigh. Private funeral services were held at Pine Crest Funeral Home.
