Dorothy Louise Ballard

December 7, 1935 - Jan. 6, 2024 Dorothy (Dot) Louise Chunn Ballard 88, of Fairhope, AL passed away Saturday at The Retreat in Mobile AL. Dot was born in Jackson, AL to parents Reverand Henry Frank and Louise Chunn. At the age of 20, she married her sweetheart, Worlie Ballard, in Mobile, AL. They were married for 59 wonderful years. They both loved to square dance and had many close friendships that enriched their lives. Dot was preceded in death by her husband Worlie. Dot was a loving, caring and giving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend to many, she will be terribly missed by all. She is survived by her children Natalie Ballard Frey and her husband John, Barry Dale Ballard and his wife Martha and Sharon Ballard Westerberg and her husband Anders. Grandchildren Barry Dale Ballard, Jr. and his wife Haley, Andrew Ballard Mims, and his wife Christy, Meagan Ballard Rhodes and her husband William, Hannah Mims Camp and her husband CDR Larry, Jr. , Caleb Mims and his wife Aly, Caroline Frey Hutson and her husband William, Elizabeth Frey Carder and her husband Adam, Luke Landry, Katrina Westerberg Hinson and her husband Joshua, and Amy Westerberg. Great grandchildren. Ben Ballard, Sarah Brooke Ballard, Louise Ballard, Andrew Mims, Jr., William Mims, John Luke Mims, Tucker Camp, Taylor Camp, Hollie Mims, Samuel Mims, Jacob Hinson, Cameron Hinson, Slade Rhodes IV, Thomas Rhodes, Julia Rhodes, William Hutson III and Charlotte Hutson.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Fairhope United Methodist Church in Fairhope, AL., Thursday January 11th, 2024. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am for visitation until service time at 11:00 am. There will be a graveside service immediately following the funeral service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mobile, AL.
