Doris Mae Reed

Doris Mae Reed – Age 81, born March 2, 1930, in Mobile, AL, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011, in Brownsburg, IN. She was a 1948 graduate of Murphy High School and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She retired from the U. S. Coast Guard Civil Service and volunteered at Springhill Medical Center for 17,500 hours. Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Irma Reed Sigler; her father, Edward Reed; and her step-father, George Sigler. Survivors include her sister, Loretta Ann Witherington of Austin, TX; two nieces, Connie Phelps of Mobile and Cheryl Walker of Huntsville; and one nephew, Donnie Witherington, Jr. of Brownsburg, IN. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
