3:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, Alabama. Burial will immediately follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens. The
family viewing will be from 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 2:30 PM until
3:00 PM.
Mrs. Cain passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Rosewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Independence,
Missouri. Mrs. Cain was born on September 13, 1917, in Coffee County, Alabama to Grover Mallory and Susie Mallory. She
was married to the love of her life, Wallace Cain, for 54 years, until his death in 1990. She was a long-time member of First
Baptist Church of Tillman’s Corner.
Mrs. Cain was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker who treasured the time she spent keeping her
home and loving her family. She was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed tending their vegetable garden. She sewed
many attractive outfits for herself and her daughters and in her younger days created her own sewing patterns. She was an
active member of the Senior Citizens Club based at the First Baptist Church of Tillman’s Corner.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Free (Owen) of Harker Heights, Texas, and Angie Howe (Dennis) of Blue
Springs, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 22 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Montier Cain; son, Jimmy Stephen Cain;
daughter, Sue Ann Brodnax,; seven brothers: William, Edmond, Charles, Johnny B., Grover, Robert and Wade Mallory; and
one sister, Lena Mae Carroll.
