Dianne K. Snyder, age 82, passed away peacefully January 12, 2021. She was born April 8, 1938 in Buffalo, New York to Raymond (dec) and Evelyn Burau (dec). She married her longtime friend and love, Charles Victor Snyder (dec), on February 15, 1958.
Dianne and Victor moved their family to Mobile, AL in 1978. They enjoyed the warm weather and the new friends they made in their new hometown. She moved north to the Cincinnati, Ohio area from 2005 to 2015. She enjoyed exploring her new town and seeing more of her Ohio family. In 2015 she moved back south to Mobile to be close to her great grandchildren.
Dianne loved to decorate. She enjoyed decorating her home as a warm, welcoming place for family to gather. Her hands were rarely still. She was an avid cross stitcher. She created many beautiful pieces that her family treasures. She loved cross stitch so much she opened a successful store, Cross Stitch Country, in the early 1980’s that specialized in cross-stitch, custom framing and specialty gifts.
Dianne loved to read mystery stories and watch both classic and new movies. She joined her family on many trips to Disney World and other amusement parks. Dianne loved to play the games and she always won great prizes for her grandchildren.
She loved spending time with her little dog, Maggie. And missed her beloved springer spaniel, Chas.
Dianne was the loving mother and friend to her six children – Laura Kujawa (David), Susan Harrison (Sherwood), Victor Snyder (Megan), Bruce Snyder (Nancy), Patricia Raines (Freddy Johnson), and Jennifer Hutcherson (Christopher). She was the proud grandmother of fifteen grandchildren – Katie Spence (Adam), Anne Adkins (Christopher), Emily Kujawa, Megan Davison (Blake), Elizabeth Hutcherson, Zachary Hutcherson, Nicholas Hutcherson, Lillie Hutcherson, Michael Rothschild, Ally Rothschild, Sarah Rothschild, Ryder Lasker, Colton Lasker, Wally Schwall and Mary Elizabeth Schwall; and six great-grandchildren – Andrew, Carter, Rory, Raina, Bentley and Marco.
Dianne was very close to her sister, Sally Winstanley (Gordon). They had many years of traveling, playing cards, and laughing together.
Dianne is survived by many nieces and nephews in Michigan and New York.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
