Delores Braggs Ramos

Delores “Mama Dear” Braggs Ramos departed this life on February 18, 2014 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. Delores was born on November 8, 1932 to the union of Henry and Louise Braggs. She was preceded in death by her father Henry Braggs, her mother Louise Braggs, her 10 siblings, and her husband of 59 years Felicito Ramos, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories four devoted sons, Felicito (Bonnie) Ramos, Gregory (Valerie) Ramos, Emmanuel Ramos, Carlos (Linda) Ramos, and a dearly beloved, devoted, and best friend, her daughter Felicia (Mark) Sarubin. She also leaves a legacy of ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was led to Christ at an early age at Lilly Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, and was a 1949 graduate of Central High School. She was the co-owner of Ramos Shoe Service, Inc. which has served the greater Mobile community for over 54 years, and along with her late husband oversaw youth outreach programs to assist young at risk children. She was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where she served as the President of the Friendship Club. She was also known for her exceptional culinary skills and her beautiful flower gardens. Visitation will be February 22, 2014 from 10-11 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with interment in Catholic Cemetery.
