Della Ray Brown

Mrs. Della Ray Young Brown, a resident of Semmes, Al, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband, Albert S. Young and three siblings. She was a former longtime member of Myers Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a current member of Crawford Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Rev. J. Lloyd Brown, sons, Robert S. Young (Lynda) and Gary W. Young (Donna). Mrs. Brown also is survived by granddaughters, Amanda Young Middleton (Chris), Jana Marie Young, Kara Danielle Young and Laura Marie Young and great-grandchildren; Reese Violet Middleton, Mason Middleton, Jackson Middleton and Savannah Young. She is also survived by her sisters, Willa Dean Meaux and Reva Ladner. Mrs. Brown loved cooking and sewing. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
