Deborah Bailey, age 61, lost her long battle with Scleroderma on April 4, 2016 at home in Theodore, AL. Deborah was born in Tacoma, Washington, daughter of the late Vern A. Layton and Edith E. Betancourt (Davidson).
She lived around the world growing up including Germany and England as her father was in the Air Force. After moving to Vaiden, MS, for work she met Albert Bailey, whom she was married to for 21 years.
Deborah loved cooking, cake decorating, sewing and collecting cookbooks. She enjoyed watching the cooking channels on TV for hours on end and always had something new to cook for her daughter who she lived with.
Deborah is survived by her mother, Edith Betancourt, daughter Jennah Bailey, former spouse, Albert Bailey; two half brothers Dwayne Layton of Phoenix, AZ and Bruce "Eddie" Adams of Mesquite, TX.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5-8pm and the Funeral will be held Saturday April 9, 2016 at 2:00pm. All services will be at Pinecrest Funeral Home and Cemetery 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL 36605.
