Dana Yvonne Tanner

Dana Yvonne Tanner, age 63, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris R. Tanner. She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Myles McGhee (Shannon) and Brooke Myles Schwartz (Jacob), grandchildren, Braxton and Danielle McGhee, nieces and nephews, Michael Myles, Chris Myles, Molly Evans, Trisha Forsythe, Jeremy Forsythe, and Joshua Shoaf as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Dana was born and raised in Birmingham but spent a good bit of her life living in Mobile. She loved the beach and was happy here. She loved being outdoors and gardening. She was known for her green thumb and her passion for cooking. Dana loved holidays and special occasions and enjoyed making them memorable for everyone she knew through her cooking and crafting. She loved being a caretaker and looking after others especially her grandchildren who were the love of her life. Of all the things she enjoyed, her absolute favorite pastime was spending time with Braxton and Danielle whether it was playing card games, helping with homework, going to ChuckECheese, or just cuddling with Mommee.

She was loved by many and will by missed by all. Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Visitation will by at Pine Crest Funeral Home from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. followed by a procession to Serenity Memorial Gardens for a Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m.
