Clinton Franklin Keltner Sr.

Clinton Franklin Keltner, Sr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Clint was a Starkville, MS native and a Mississippi State Alumnus. He moved to Mobile, AL in 1956. Clint retired from Chevron, Blakely Island. Clint was a huge MS State fan who also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He belonged to the Lions Club, coached softball and little league baseball teams, and enjoyed playing golf at Springhill. Clint was a member of St. Frances Methodist Church and St. John’s Methodist Church. Clint is survived by his wife of 71 years, Myrtis Sybil Edwards; three children, Clinton (Karen) Keltner, Jr., William (Kerstin) Keltner, and Katherine (John) Baxley; five grandchildren, Jason, Allison, Joseph, Olivia, and Dylan; three great-grandchilren; as well as many other cherished family members. Visitation for Clint will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Pine Crest, with interment in Pine Crest Cemetery immediately following.
