Hey Chris... it's Dinky 😎. You gave me that nickname and no one else is allowed to call me that. All the memories are flooding my head right now but one that sticks out is us at the eagles for new years. You took nana Rosie and pops but weren't having the best time. So I said we should start taking shots and we did. We ended up having a great time 🤪. You were the kindest person ever with the biggest heart.  Even with the tough exterior I knew the funny, caring person you were. I will miss our banter. You always made me feel like family.  Take care of yourself and pops up there. I hope pops is eating all the butterscotch he can get his hands on. You are missed and will forever be missed and thought of. Till next time.. Dinky out. 😎❤️❤️❤️

Where do I even start.. our journey started when we were 17. 
So many laughs & memories.. then our lives touch a 30 year pause, little “hello here & there” over the years. 
Then we picked up like NO time had passed. Our daily talks/ text we became each other daily lives.. which I LOVED… I would tell my stories , which you always loved cause they always had “us” & our future. I always thought I was funny & you’d tell me “get over yourself, your not that funny” but I would say.., did it make you laugh/smile .. & he’s say, Yes. ♥️
We definitely were different BUT our pieces fit perfectly, he’d say he didn’t understand how after all these years.. I would say .. it was part of the plan. 😊
I saw “you” for the real you, a loving dad that loves his girls more than anything, and your FAMILY the love you have for them is STRONG. 
Specially your mom ♥️. The many amazing friends you’ve had along your journey, I loved hearing the stories.. some of them were definitely were 😳.  
As all our journeys are different we all have one thing in common that we were BLESSED to have had Chris in our lives. I’m forever grateful that I was written in your book & it was Me & U and we had lots of laughs, & smiles & hope .

My Brother...My 1st Best Friend ....My Protector.....As I'm Writing this my eyes fill up with tears as to many things we did side by side growing up.....From me being a Freshman at Cibola hanging out with all the older crowd thanks to you....To me going off to the Army cuz my brother went....to me becoming a chef because you were....you taught me so many things while at Callaway and then our last cooking adventure Fuego...thru the good an bad you have had my back even when I didn't deserve it.... Chris I just wanna hug an hear your laughter.....still unbelievable we will never have moments that we should of had....your baby girls will be looked after by our living family....you will always be in my heart an my soul Brother!!!   Watch down an give me guidance from above..     love you an til we meet again I will stay strong!!!

Chris, my childhood is filled with memories of us doing sweet jumps on our BMX bikes, making up our own frisbee games because regular frisbee was too boring and watching Jeopardy where you knew every single answer. My favorite memory is when you lived in San Diego and would come watch me run the marathon. Not only would you show up, you volunteered at the aid stations handing out water to all the runners. You made up a cheer “lookin’ mean at mile 15”. After the race you told me the other volunteers started saying it too and you were so irritated they stole your cheer. But that is the effect you had on people, you were a leader and people respected you and looked up to you. I’ve always looked up to you and I will always think of you at every mile 15 and every finish line. Thank you for being my cousin. 

Chris began as my mentor,  but it didn't take long to make a friendship.  Spending time watching sports, movies, and the girls was always an amazing experience.  Pretty soon after years working together he was no longer just my mentor or a friend,  he was my brother.  I will never stop missing you.  I love you Bro. 

I love you uncle chris and you will always be in my heart. I remember all the funny memories we made and I thank you for being like a father to me even when you didn’t. You have Taught me to work hard for what I want in life. I always think of the times when you had your doggie rocco and you still lived in San Diego you always made me laugh.  I also remember when I went to Alabama for the first time and you took me to your restaurant and you taught me a lot. you’re the reason why I want to own my own restaurant. I love you and I’ll make sure to take care of those girls of yours. Like you told me and said “mya life gets hard but you have to make sure you try your hardest in what you love to do” and I stick by that. I will miss you alot. I will keep my promise and make sure your daughters are taken care of I love you forever and always !

I remember when he would call me his sous chef and I was probably like around 6-8ish yes old maybe and that was a core member. when he was teaching me to cook

Man, again this is still too crazy to even comprehend, all I have to say is I love you man, not just for everything you showed me but for the time I spent with you personally, man those sundays watching the World Cup or cooking with the girls were beautiful, like your dad said, I see you saying “don’t be a sissy”, but truthfully it’s hard man, you were indestructible, the guy, the chef, my friend. The way you connected the group of “misfits” the way you did and created a a family is incredible, I still talk to some of these people like i never lost touch. For everything you gave us, we love you, we’ll carry on the tradition.

My son......a loving father and talented man....I am so glad that I had the privilege of being a part of your life. Like a lot of father and son relationships, we had our ups and downs, but I  never stopped loving you or caring for you or wishing the best for you. One of the greatest times I  had with you was the last Christmas you spent with us.  It will be a time that I  will always cherish. Son, I  will miss you. And I  can hear your voice now saying, "Get over it, Dad," but it won't be that easy. I will forever hold onto the memories that we had. Always, your loving father....
