Cheryl Reid Walker "Sherri", age 62 of Mobile, AL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 25, 2022. She was born October 31, 1959 to Leamon and Nellie Langley Reid of Mobile. She is preceded in death by her mother, brother, Leamon Reid Jr., and lifelong partner, husband and friend Benjamin "Benny" Walker, Sr.
After graduating from Shaw High School, Sherri studied accounting and eventually opened her own tax firm, Walker & Walker Accounting and Tax Preparation. Sherri never met a stranger and loved each and every client she had over the past 30 years.
Sherri leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Benjamin E. Walker, Jr. (Chasity), grandson, Joseph Andrew Walker and father, Leamon Reid, Sr. She also is survived by her brothers, Mark Reid(Vickie), Greg Reid, sister, Angi Reid Mrkwa, many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. Her life will be forever cherished in the heart of her son....
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens, Theodore, AL.
The family will host a celebration reception immediately following the graveside committal service at the Tillman's Corner Senior Citizen Center.
