Charles Aubrey Howard

Charles Aubrey Howard – a 74 year-old native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Mobile for 51 years passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011. Mr. Howard graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in business. He served as a court reporter for Mobile County from 1960-1965 and for the U.S. District Court from 1965 until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was very much loved by his family and friends. Mr. Howard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Stough Howard; sons, Chuck Howard, Dennis Howard (Wanda), Randy Howard (Tish), and Jeff Howard (Amanda); grandchildren, Ben, Rachel, and Evy Howard; brothers, Bruce Howard and Eddie Howard; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from Christ United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 6101 Grelot Rd., Mobile, AL 36609.
