Charles Joseph Ernest Sr.

Charles Joseph Ernest Sr, Longtime resident of Mobile Alabama, born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee August 16, 1922, went to be with his Lord and savior on Monday, February 01, 2016, at 5:09 a.m. Preceded in death, his wife of 63 years, Janell G. Ernest, met him at Heaven’s Gates reuniting their hearts and love. He is survived by his eight children who he loved dearly: Janell Hyde(Frank), Carol Cox ( Phillip), Susan Waits (Gary), Terry Buckalew (Donnie), Melody Ernest, Kathy Gunter (Mike), Charles J. Ernest Jr (Tammy), Louis Fredrick Ernest (Karen), 19 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren.

Charles proudly served our country in World War II, and was awarded the Purple Heart for his Bravery. We will receive friends and family at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, Thursday, February 4, 2016, 5:00–8:00 p.m. for the visitation. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 5, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. The graveside service will follow at Allentown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Hyde, Benjamin Hyde,Bradley Cox,Kyle Ernest,Charles J. Ernest III, Joshua Gunter
