Cecil Ray Phillips was born on May 17, 1937, and he passed away on June 15, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olene Phillips; parents, Virgil and Eve Phillips; and four siblings. He is survived by two daughters, Mickie Salter and Wynette Williams; one son, Keith Nichols; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Bartlett and Martha Ann Brasher; nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Mr. Phillips was enlisted with the U.S. Army for four years, and remained a patriot for the rest of his life. He retired from International Paper Company after 46 years. Above all else, he was a family man. He loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and cooking.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Pine Crest Funeral Home, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
