Mrs. Catherine Sarah Morgan Dossett, 95, of Wilmer, Alabama was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home and is now dancing with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born September 17, 1927, in Laurel, Mississippi to the late Hall and Rose Gertrude Bonner Morgan.
Mrs. Catherine loved worshiping, fellowship, and sharing the Lord with Wilmer Baptist Church, where she has been a lifelong member. She grew up in the church and took great pride in giving back any way possible. Mrs. Catherine touched many lives as a School Bus Driver for Mobile County and assisted Sonny as owner/operators of Wilmer Garage. She was Sonny's partner-in-crime and together they ran the garage with pristine care since 1948. Mrs. Catherine enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She would take pride in caring for her family.
When one of the girls needed a ball gown or a party dress; Mom would stay up until 4:00 AM until the last detail was complete. She absolutely loved to cook for anyone that wanted to eat. Mrs. Catherine's table always came with an open invitation and an inviting seat. She knew how to enjoy life and had the biggest heart. Mrs. Catherine will be remembered for simply living each day to its fullest with her witty sense of humor and her love for life; not to waste a single moment of time. Rose would often tell Gertrudy, "You're the best momma I ever had."
Mrs. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of fifty-three years, Sonny Dossett; three grandchildren: Stephanie Dossett, Devon Dossett, Amber Tidmore; one grandson-in-law, Seth Maness; a special friend, Paul Byrd; and her nine siblings.
Left to cherish Mrs. Catherine's memories will be her four children: Sonny Dossett, Jr. (Judy), Rose Marie Gideons (Mike), Steve Dossett, Sr. (Angie), Deborah Dossett; four grandchildren: Chrissy Evans (Mikey), Ashley Smith (Gene), Stephen Dossett, Jr. (Nichole), Andrea Dossett; eight great-grandchildren: Holden Tidmore, Shelby Tidmore, Regan Tidmore, Olivia Smith, Trevor Smith, Isabella Maness, Caylee Evans, Cathryn Evans; along with extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.

We would like to extend our dearest gratitude to LaClede, Pam, T, and SAAD’S Hospice for the compassion provided, and friendships gained while taking such excellent care of Mom. We would also like to thank our church family and friends for the prayers, condolences, and friendships made through the years.
