"Captain" John Andrew Faulk, Jr.

John was born on June 28, 1945 in Mobile, AL to his parents, John Faulk, Sr. and Mary Blackwell. John married Rita (nee Thacker) in1999. John worked as a seafarer for over 5 decades, with Dixie (Kirby) Carriers. He retired in 2013 and dedicated his remaining time to his wife, grandkids, church, fishing, bird watching, woodworking and spoiling his beloved poodle, Phantom.

John is survived by his loving wife, Rita Sue; son and daughter-in-law, John “Andrew” Faulk III and Jennifer of Mobile, AL; his daughter, Jaime Kota of New Mexico; his step children & spouses, Brian (Lisa), Kevin(Mark) and Jason Johnston of Mobile, AL and Sacramento, CA; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas & Liz Faulk of Mobile, AL; his stepmother and step siblings, Katherine Faulk of Satsuma; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, John Faulk, Sr.; stepfather, Benny Blackwell; his mother, Mary Blackwell and his sister, Glenda Miller.

Visitation for Mr. Faulk will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, Alabama. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.

John will be buried in a private ceremony (immediate family only due to COVID-19 restrictions) at Serenity Memorial Gardens in Theodore, AL
