Birdie Merle Lawley

Birdie Merle Gilbert Lawley, 89 passed away peacefully on June 5, 2013. A native of Choctaw County, Al. and long time resident of Mobile, she was preceded in death by husbands Aubrey Lawley and Thomas M. Lawley and her parents, California and Ava Gilbert. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Weller of Theodore, Grandson George E. Pugh, Jr.( Michele) of Gulf Shores, AL., Grand-daughter Iris Fink, (Michael) of Atlanta; brother James Gilbert of Picayune, MS; Sister-in-law Vivian S. Gilbert of Gilbertown, AL.; Brother-in-law Charlie McDuffie of Mobile, numerous nieces and nephews and devoted friends Russell and Alice Hamrick of Mobile. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 12 noon. Visitation will start at 11 AM. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
