It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Crowe, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who passed away on February 21, at the age of 88. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Billy Faulkner Crowe was born in Cool Springs, Tennessee, and graduated from Trimble High School. He served his country in the US Army then earned a bachelors degree at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He was a man who exuded joy and happiness in everything he did. He adored his family, and his favorite pastime was being with them.
Bill Crowe had a deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ and shared that love with everyone he met. He loved Overlook Presbyterian Church and serving there. He truly loved helping anyone in need. Some of his favorite ministries were Family Promise, Lunch on Us, Yard Blessing, and church softball. But, he loved the choir best and sang in it for 53 years. He clapped when people were baptized. Presbyterians do not clap in church.
Bill Crowe will be remembered for his infectious smile, his kind heart, and his unwavering faith. He touched the lives of so many people and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years (Elizabeth), his children Anita Soileau (Brad) and Susie Mickle (Cooper), his six grandchildren, Derek King (Natalie), Jason King, Elizabeth Mickle Hill (Sterling), John Mickle, Michael King (Alicia), Sarah Frances Mickle Crawford (Travis), and great-grandchildren (Emma King, Ryan King, Cooper Hill, Grace King, Elizabeth Hill, Luke King, Sofia King, Whit Hill, and Wade Crawford) as well as many other family members and friends.
