Betty Steadham Strickland

Mrs. Betty Steadham Strickland, age 87, longtime resident of Mobile, Al, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Altha Adams Steadham, husband, James E. Strickland, Jr. and brother Marshall Steadham. She was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Strickland is survived by her daughters, Lynn Singleton (Bruce), Marie Rowe (Lester) and Gail Greene (Philip). She is also survived by her brother, Charles Steadham (Liz), sisters, Sara Hall and Delores Batton, grandchildren, Corey Singleton, Jeff Rowe (Amanda), Scott Rowe (Mindy), Amy Thompson (Scot), Shaun Hopkins (Tiffany) and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs of Providence Hospital and Kindred Hospice, especially, Matthew Brown, for the loving care given their mother. Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Rowe, Scott Rowe, Corey Singleton, Scot Thompson and Philip Greene.
