Benjamin E. Keyser, Jr. –Born in New Orleans, LA on March 20, 1929 passed away September 18, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jacquelyn B. Keyser, 2 sisters, Jeanette Maygarden, Lois Durham, 1 brother, Robert Keyser, 4 sons; Benjamin (Gwen) Keyser, III, Richard T. (Stephanie) Keyser, Darren M. (Jan) Keyser, Lawrence A. (Melissa) Keyser. 9 grandchildren; Ben IV, Clyde, Douglas, Lincen, Amanda, Hunter, Ross, Anna, Gracie, 7 great grandchildren; Lincen, Reese, Bryce, Zane, Kylie, Logan and Bliss. Ben served in the United States Air Force and later became the Yard Manager for the Alabama Dry Docks for 38 years. He is a lifelong member of Loop Lodge #895 and was raised a Master Mason on September 18, 1957. He was a member of Scottish Rite of Mobile, Al, Abba Temple Shrine of Mobile, Al and Eastern Star. Pallbearers will be his 4 sons, Ben III, Richard, Darren, Lawrence and 2 of his grandchildren, Ben IV and Hunter. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, September 20, 2014, from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street with Deacon Ed Connick officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at noon Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens with full Masonic Rites. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Abba Shrine Transportation Unit, Mobile, Al. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
