Barbara Alice Gully

Mrs. Barbara Alice Gully, age 81, a long-time resident of Semmes passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her home. Barbara was a member of Semmes First Baptist Church, an Avon manager, manager of the Gayfers Beauty Salon at Springdale Mall, and loving caregiver to her husband. She devoted her life to pouring into and caring for her husband, children, grandkids and her great-grandkids both through the home and in their hearts. She was keen on fashion and beauty, an amazing cook, avid reader, news savvy and wise with advice.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Gully. She is survived by her children Geary (Amanda) Gully of Semmes, AL, Lynn Jordan of Semmes, AL and Laura (Ernie) Brannan of Wilmer AL; grandchildren, Scott (Meredith) Brannan of Knoxville, TN, Amy (Chris) Keenan of Daphne, AL, Leshay (Cade) Clunan and Leah (Matthew) Bell both of Wilmer, AL and McKenzie and Taylor Moorer of Semmes, AL; great-grandchildren Colton, Seryn, Bennett, Luke and Cross as well as extended family.

Pallbearers will be Scott Brannan, Chris Keenan, Cade Clunan, Matthew Bell, Steve Gully, Paul Gully and Reggie Davis. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 9:00a.m. til 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
