Anthony "Tony" Herman Phillips

Anthony “Tony” H. Phillips, age 89, of Mobile, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Phillips; four sons, Dino Phillips, Todd Phillips, Raymond Phillips, and Paul Phillips; two sisters, Estelle DeFord and Lee “Toddles” (Bob) Maher; two brothers, Lawrence Phillips and carl DeSilva; two grandchildren, Lauren Paige (Thomas) Ascher and Kelley (Jared) Rehm; and one great-grandson, John Thomas Ascher. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his son, Anthony M. Phillips. Tony was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a mystic society. He was Past President of the Pest Control Association Region 4; Past President, life member, and Hall of Famer of the Greater Mobile and Alabama State Bowling Associations. He was Past Chairman of the Bowling Association March of Dimes, Member of Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, and member of Midtown Optimist Club. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 23, 2016, from10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at11:00 a.m. at the church.
