Albert Clark Sharpe Jr.

Albert Clark Sharpe Jr., age 49, of Semmes, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 surrounded by family. Al was born November 25, 1968, in Anniston, Alabama to Ollice Reeves Sharpe and Albert C. "Buddy" Sharpe, Sr.

Al was a lifelong resident of Semmes, AL, where he was a very active member of the Semmes Baseball Association. He also served as a coach, friend, and mentor to the MGM Vikings Baseball team. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, papa, son, brother, and friend to many. Al was a captain of Saraland Fire Department for 18 years. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and outdoorsman.

Al is lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Jada Boykin Sharpe; a daughter, Jana (Chase) Spivey; a son, Hunter Sharpe; his mother, Ollice Reeves Sharpe; his grandchild, Jase Spivey; a sister, Tammy (Steve) Dabney; two brothers-in-law, Jimbo Boykin and Jason (Gina) Boykin; mother-in-law, Billie Boykin; three nieces; three nephews; aunts, uncles, and many other close family and friends.

Al was preceded in death by his father, Albert C. "Buddy" Sharpe, Sr.; and father-in-law, James F. Boykin.

A visitation for Al will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Orchard Assembly of God, 10245 Howells Ferry Rd, Semmes, Alabama 36575. A funeral service will occur Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow Joyner Cemetery, Wilmer, Alabama.
