Paul William Sabo, 81 of Mission Viejo passed away at his home on Saturday, August 27, 2022. He was born in Flint, Michigan on September 14, 1940 as the third child of William Henry Sabo and Katherine Rose Niemershien. He often spoke fondly of his parents as well as his siblings who are; Larry Sabo (RIP) , Suzanne Hahn, Chuck Sabo (RIP) , Janet Petrowski, Mike Sabo, and Jean Toney. Paul loved and enjoyed his family and friends in Michigan and often shared joyful memories of his younger years. He was well known as a family man and would cherish visits back to MI to spend time with those who were so dear to him.
In 1962, Paul relocated and became a salesman for Western Auto in Downey, CA, soon after he was transferred to the Norwalk location where a young accountant, Maria Rosaria Ramirez, caught his eye. The two were married the following spring on April 20, 1963 until his passing almost 60 years later.
In 1965, Paul and his wife purchased a home in La Mirada, CA. Meanwhile, he attended evening classes to earn his high school diploma and had started a family; all while working full-time at Nabisco in Buena Park. He was hired on as a custodian until he accepted an opportunity to work the graveyard shift in the warehouse.
In 1971, Paul and Rosie had given birth to their fourth child. Shortly after, he moved his family to Brea, CA where they would reside until 1975. Meanwhile he took evening college courses which he continued after moving to Anaheim Hills, CA in 1975.
In 1980, after many years of studying and maintaining a fulltime position at Nabisco, Paul graduated from CSUF with his proud family present. With a degree in hand, Paul was offered a superintendent position at Nabisco which he accepted and excelled at until he retired in 2000.
Paul and his wife remained in the Anaheim Hills home until 2018. From 2018 until 2022, the couple resided in Mission Viejo.
Paul was a loving man, passionately devoted to his family, whom he kept smiling and laughing with his amusing sense of humor. He enjoyed golf, playing his harmonica, shooting pool, debating politics and building projects. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially when his children and grandchildren played.
Paul is survived by his wife Rosie; his children, Kimberly McKinney and her husband Chuck McKinney, Susie Perry and her husband Serg Perry, Nancy Tannehill and her husband Tavis Tannehill, Bill Sabo; grandchildren, Taylor Perry, Beau Perry and wife Karissa Perry, Cole Perry, Alyssa Chomiczewski, and Emily Chomiczewski; great grandson, Davis M. Perry as well as many loving members of the extended Sabo family and Ramirez family.
