Karen Kline-Mina passed peacefully in Mission Viejo, CA with family by her side. Karen was born to Dr. Arlyn and Dr. Gerrie Kline, professors at MSU, and she attended Wilson Campus School in Mankato, MN from first grade through her high school graduation in 1976. Karen received her BS in International Business from MSU in 1979 and her MBA from Arizona State University in 1980. After graduation she married the love of her life, Chebel Mina, and she and Chebel became parents to their beloved twin children in 1989. Karen worked as a financial analyst for Unisys Corp. for 35 years. She was on the Orange County Board of PFLAG for 12 years, and was the O.C. PFLAG President for three years. When Karen retired she cared for her parents and her aunt, and she organized many trips, cruises and celebrations for her entire family.
Karen is survived by her husband of 43 years, Chebel, of Mission Viejo, CA; children Tommy Mina (Alyssa Lo) of San Rafael, CA and Liam Mina (Amy Lanteigne) of San Jose, CA; sister Kathleen Kline Bakke (Chris) of Lakewood, CO; Aunt Roberta Broeren of Menomonie, WI; Aunt Alma Erkel of Mankato, MN; Uncle Adel & Aunt Karla Ramy of Bloomington, MN; two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law of Ferzol, Lebanon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Karen's celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday March 23rd at Fairhaven Memorial Services, 27856 Center Dr., Mission Viejo, CA 92692.
