Jim served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam war and was proud of his service. He loved the sea and was an avid fisherman, surfer, and boater in his younger years. He traveled extensively across the world while working for Continental Airlines. In his later years he worked at Lowe’s for 16 years and enjoyed all the friendships he made there. He was a very hardworking man with a great work ethic throughout his successful career.
Jim and Barb loved to paddleboard at the lake and spending time at home with their dogs. They enjoyed camping and being at the beach together as much as possible. During the summers they would frequent the concerts at the lake with friends and family. Barb is so proud and extremely thankful for Jim and everything he did for his family. He made sure they had whatever they needed and was devoted to her throughout their 29 years of marriage. She will miss him so much and think of him every single day.
Jim was extremely proud of being a father to Brent. He loved him so much and would have done anything for him. He went to every practice, game, and was always there for every family event. Brent feels he is the man he is today because of his dad’s love and the opportunities he gave to him. He was so lucky to have Jim as his father.
His family will miss him dearly and he will always be in our hearts.
