Frank was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on November 25, 1937 to parents Frank Joseph & Teresa (Pagliaro), growing up in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. He served in the US Navy and followed the family tradition of being a volunteer firefighter in New Jersey and Connecticut. Frank began a lifelong career with Sandvik Steel and retired as the Pacific Regional Manager after 40 years with the company. He then continued to do consulting to help other managers at Sandvik to be the compassionate manager that he was and traveled the world to spread his wisdom.
He had a love of baseball and was able to visit every major league ballpark in the United States and a few in Canada. He enjoyed participating in fantasy baseball. Frank had a love of athletics and enjoyed watching his grandchildren compete and perform in a wide variety of sports.
Frank married Cozette Cervantes in January 1996. Frank was a devoted family man and adored Cozette. He is survived by Cozette as well as his three children Lisa Garrison (Tom) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Laura Valencia (David) of Poway, California and Frank Joseph (Robbie) of Canberra, ACT, Australia; Brother Gerard (Arlene); Grandchildren Nathaniel (Skye), Lindsay, Olivia, Evan, Kate, Anthony, Mathew, Miranda, Angus, Ashlee and Tyler; Great-Grandchildren Finn and Lestat. Step-children Michael Perez & Suzanna Johnson (both deceased). He has two beloved dogs, Willow Rose and Chloe Marie.
Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, "Big GrandPa", step-father & friend to many.
The family has appreciated all of the support through Frank’s long illness. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the ALS Association - Orange County Chapter.
Frank’s Chapel service will be held on Thursday, January 16th, at 6 pm at Fairhaven Memorial Services, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA 92692 with a Viewing from 4 to 6 pm.
The graveside service will be on Friday, January 17th, at 11 am at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
