Brooke Lynn Badger was born in Fort Worth, TX on September 8, 2003 and passed away on June 18, 2021. She is survived by her father, Scott, her mother, Hanh, and her younger brother, Brett. Extended family members include her maternal grandmother (Anh Nguyen), four uncles, one aunt, and their loved ones: Tuan Chieu (Tiffany and Taylor), Minh Chieu (Thuy Phan, Jessica, Caden, Caleb, and Jamie), Long Chieu (Nancy Chau), Alex Chieu, and Nga Huynh (Derek, Emily, and Melanie).
After spending most of her life in Texas, Brooke moved to Southern California with her family in June 2017 at the age of 13. She graduated from El Toro High School, while demonstrating academic excellence as a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). In addition, she was looking forward to starting college at Cal State LA with an interest in forensic psychology.
Brooke spent most of her time and energy with her family and close friends as well as her academics. She was beautiful, strong, smart, intuitive, curious, playful, brave, highly creative and artistic, kind, and compassionate – always focused on trying to help others and saw the good in everyone. She enjoyed traveling, dining out with friends and family, exploring the beautiful beaches in Orange County, lounging around the house, listening to her playlists, drawing or painting, and playing piano and guitar in her spare time. She had a beautiful aura and heads turned as soon as she walked into a room. One of her favorite books was The Rose That Grew From Concrete, a collection of poetry written by Tupac Shakur. Brooke will be most remembered for her beauty, shining light, adventurous spirit, and caring heart.
Brooke, it was the greatest gift and privilege to have you in our lives. You're the most amazing daughter, sister, and friend anyone can ever ask for. Words cannot describe how much we love you and miss you.

The Rose That Grew from Concrete
Did u hear about the rose that grew from a crack
in the concrete
Proving nature’s laws wrong it learned 2 walk
without having feet
Funny it seems but by keeping its dreams
It learned 2 breathe fresh air
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else even cared!
-Tupac Shakur
