Ruben Montemayor

Mexico to Ruben and Angelina Montemayor.

Ruben loved singing and dancing and spending time with his family. He was a very social person. He sold auto parts for over 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Blanca Elia Montemayor and his parents: Ruben and Angelina Montemayor, his siblings Julia, Romeo, Oscar, Hector, Estela, and his father and mother-in law: Ramon and Petra Hinojosa.

He is survived by his children: Edith Cantu (Hector), Blanca Sosa (Albert), Zoraida Morales, Rubi Montemayor and Raul Torres; nine grandchildren: Daniel, Sarah, Julianna, Albert, Bianca, Victoria, Marcos, Rosalie and Danny; eight great-granchildren: Marcus, Uriel, and Gabriella, Annais, Salvador, Isabel, Little Danny, and Raul III. He is also survived by his siblings: Aminda Gutierrez (Matias), Cristina Montemayor, Enrique Montemayor (Concepcion), Silvia Ramirez (Jose), Lourdes Madrigal (Carlos), Rosario Trevino (Miguel) his brother-in-law: Ramon Hinojosa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Ruben will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 3:00PM to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service starting at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel. Memorial mass will be held on October 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in McAllen. Burial service will be at Valley Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM.
