Delmita, Texas- Maria E. (Chonita) Lopez, 81, was born on May 20, 1929, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 8, 2011 at the Renaissance Hospital surrounded by her daughter, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Celestina Lopez, Sisters Urbana Lopez, Agapita Buentello, Celestina (La Wera) Pena, Herminia Farias and Angelita Rivas. Maria E. (Chonita) is survived by her daughter, Edna Torres, and numerous nephews & nieces.
Honorary pallbearer will be Eduardo Rivas. Pallbearers will be Lupe Pena, Luis Lopez, Vito Rivas, Arturo Rivas, Beto Rivas and Marcos Mercado.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel 3611 N. Taylor Rd in Mission, Texas from 3:00PM to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM rosary. Chapel Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
