Maria Guadalupe "Pita" Adame

Lupita was born October 24, 1943 in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Leobardo Partida and Simona Oliva de Partida. Her brothers were Isaac (deceased), Leobardo, and Alfredo.

She married Hector Adame of Reynosa, Tamaulipas on September 13, 1973 and created a beautiful family in their 45 year marriage. During their time in Mexico, Lupita worked from home as a seamstress, but eventually they immigrated to the United States. In the early 1980’s Lupita took English language classes, passed her GED and eventually became a US citizen. Her first job was passing out food samples at M. Rivas grocery store and she subsequently worked at multiple retail stores before landing at Dillard’s, where she eventually retired from in 2006. Even though she worked full time, she was able to care for her mother, Simona, until her death in 2006.

Retirement gave Lupita the opportunity to spend more time with her family, devote time to travel, but most importantly deepen her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. In 2017 when her husband was diagnosed with lung cancer, Lupita cared for him with unparalleled kindness, compassion, and patience until the day he died. As a widow, Lupita enjoyed walking daily with friends, watering her plants, shopping for good deals, baking healthy cookies but most of all, serving Jehovah with her congregation.

She was a role model and faithful servant known as “Pita” by her 12 grandchildren, “Mami” by her 4 daughters, and “Lupita” by the people who knew and loved her. Everyone was drawn to Lupita’s smile and kindness. Her friends and family will remember her as a generous, joyful and gentle mother, grandmother and friend. They all feel her loss deeply. Her life is a reminder of Hebrews 6:10 “For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for His name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones.”

A public visitation for Maria will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573. Following the public visitation will be a Memorial Service Talk at 5:00 PM.

Lupita loved vibrant colors and was always stylish. We ask people attending the funeral services wear a vibrant color in her honor.

María Guadalupe Partida de Adame falleció pacíficamente en McAllen el 13 de junio de 2023 rodeada de sus 4 hijas, Noemí, Araceli, Norma y Abigale.

Lupita nació el 24 de octubre de 1943 en Matehuala, San Luis Potosí, México de Leobardo Partida y Simona Oliva de Partida. Sus hermanos fueron Isaac (fallecido), Leobardo y Alfredo.

Se casó con Héctor Adame de Reynosa, Tamaulipas el 13 de septiembre de 1973 y formó una hermosa familia en su matrimonio de 45 años. Durante su tiempo en México, Lupita trabajó desde su casa como costurera, pero finalmente emigraron a los Estados Unidos. A principios de la década de 1980, Lupita tomó clases de inglés, aprobó su GED y finalmente se convirtió en ciudadana estadounidense. Su primer trabajo fue repartir muestras de alimentos en el supermercado M. Rivas y posteriormente trabajó en varias tiendas antes de aterrizar en Dillard's, donde finalmente se jubiló en 2006. Aunque trabajaba tiempo completo, pudo cuidar a su madre, Simona, hasta su muerte en 2006.

La jubilación le dio a Lupita la oportunidad de pasar más tiempo con su familia, dedicar tiempo a viajar, pero lo más importante, profundizar su fe como testigo de Jehová. En 2017, cuando a su esposo le diagnosticaron cáncer de pulmón, Lupita lo cuidó con una amabilidad, compasión y paciencia incomparables hasta el día de su muerte. Como viuda, a Lupita le gustaba caminar todos los días con amigas, regar sus plantas, comprar buenas ofertas, hornear galletas saludables pero, sobre todo, servir a Jehová con su congregación.

Ella fue un buen ejemplo y una fiel sirvienta conocida como “Pita” por sus 12 nietos, “Mami” por sus 4 hijas y “Lupita” por las personas que la conocían y amaban. Todos eran atraídos a la sonrisa y la amabilidad de Lupita. Sus amigos y familiares la recordarán como una madre, abuela y amiga generosa, alegre y gentil. Todos sienten profundamente su pérdida. Su vida es un recordatorio de Hebreos 6:10 “Porque Dios no es injusto y no se olvida de las obras de ustedes ni del amor que demostraron por su nombre al haber servido a los santos y al continuar sirviéndoles.”

Habrá una visita pública el sábado 24 de junio de 2023, de 11:00 a. m. a 6:00 p. m., en Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573. y el discurso funerario será a las 5:00 PM.

A Lupita le encantaban los colores vibrantes y siempre tenía estilo. Pedimos a los presentes que se vistan en un color vibrante en los servicios funerales en su honor.
