At 18 years old, Idalia met Tomas Perez, the love of her life. They were married for nearly 50 years. Together, they had 4 children, Alma, Roel, Cynthia, and Nelda.
Idalia worked much of her adult life in sales and was considered top in her field. She enjoyed working to pursue the finer things in life. Idalia loved family (above all else), fashion, and traveling. Idalia was known to be a strong, independent woman, full of class, and even until her last day still crossed her legs as she sat.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tomas Anselmo Perez, daughter, Alma Yolanda Woolvin (Samuel), grandson, Thomas Alexander Woolvin, and nine siblings.
Her surviving family members include three children, Roel Angel Perez (Norma), Cynthia Gloria Tunches (Gerald), and Nelda Perez; Nine grandchildren- Eric Perez, Kristina Nicole Woolvin, Stephanie Tunches Wolfe, Heather Tunches Quintana, Arlene Yvette Tunches, Christopher Scott Tunches, Richard Anthony Garza, Michael Joseph Cardenas, Brianna Nichole Cardenas and 12 great grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 N. Taylor Rd, Mission, Texas. A rosary will be held at 7 pm. Public visitation will continue on Friday, April 7 from 9 am to 11 am with a chapel service at 10 am. Burial will follow at 11 am at the Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 N. Taylor Rd, Mission, Texas.
