A longtime resident of McAllen, TX, Griselda was an amazing wife, mother, sister and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the glue that stuck us together and will be greatly missed.
While attending the University of Texas Pan American, Griselda met her future husband, Ernesto. They spent 27 years together raising their girls and making memories with their family. After a long and successful career with the State of Texas, she was looking forward to her next chapter in life. Griselda was creative, sharp-witted and the strongest women we’ve ever known. Her home was always open with a scratch-made meal on her table.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Ernesto Trevino, and parents, Porfirio Garza Rodriguez and Antonia Rebolloso Rodriguez.
She is survived by her loving children, Antonia T. Johnson (Matthew), Alexandra Trevino and Alyssa Trevino and brothers and sisters, Hermelinda R. Trevino (Gaston), Porfirio Rodriguez (Anna), Sandra Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez (Cristina) and Leonor R. De Los Santos (Thomas). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Stephen Trevino (Sarah), Gaston Trevino (Rachel), Victoria Trevino, Xochitl Rodriguez, Raimundo Rodriguez, Jaqueline De Los Santos, Porfirio Rodriguez III, Carissa De Los Santos, Andres Rodriguez, Alex Galka, Isabella De Los Santos, and Eva Galka, three great-nephews, Gaston N. Trevino III, Daniel N. Trevino, and Lucas A. Trevino and several extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, an organization that greatly made a difference in Griselda’s comfort and care. She was strong-willed, opinionated and loving but those traits made her who she was. We are comforted to know that she is free from pain and re-united with her husband, the love of her life.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria del Angel in Mission TX, a Dignity Memorial provider, 3611 N. Taylor Rd. in Mission.
