Emerico was born on December 24, 1934 in Raymondville, TX to parents Bensabio Alanis and Jacinta Salazar.
He is survived by his children, Rosa Alaniz, Elizabeth Barreiro (George†), Leticia Dutton (Kenny), Sylvia Alva (Eddie), Alma Nunez, Emerico Alaniz Jr. (Mary) and Miguel Alaniz (Rosalinda); 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Emerico is preceded in death by his parents and his spouse of 42 years Maria Elena Alaniz.
Emerico was a self taught welder who went on to open his own welding and crane operation called “Alaniz Welding and Crane Service” . He was very inventive and even designed his own crane. He was responsible in the making of many structures around the valley and he made sure those around him didn’t forget it. He took a lot of pride in his skill and even built his family home.
Emerico was a vibrant soul. He humbly kept a smile on the face of everyone around him.
He will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends.
