Doreen, I often think about my life as a young adult, and much of it began with you. Recently, Gary sent me a photo of us and it got me thinking which ultimately, but sadly led me to  here. I was deeply saddened to read about the passing of your dad, and I guess your mom also. I have many memories of us, your mom, dad, Bruce, Loren and Sophie.  I can still picture every room in the house. I remember how loving your family was to me, and I can remember Sarah's laughter, sometimes from embarrassment, Marvin's dry wit, Bruce's silliness, and Loren arguing over a game of Monopoly. I remember the TBird, Mustang with the top down and Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band blaring on the tape, and Mom's Bowling Alley and many others, both happy and sad.  I know it's been almost 50 years, but after seeing the photo, I felt the need to reach out and send this note. I am sorry that it has to be on this forum. I hope all is safe and well with you.

Dad, you left us a year ago today and we all are thinking of you and are feeling the tremendous void in our lives. It feels so strange not to have you and Mom in our lives to hear you and see you.  I can hope God made his way to you both and I will see you both again. You are so missed and I thank God to be raised by you both and call you Parents.  How Humble and Generous you were! Thanks for being such a thoughtful and generous uncle. Jane and I have so many wonderful memories of the many dinners we shared and our vacations in the desert. When it came to uncles you really were the best. You will be missed and remembered lovingly.

Grandpa Marvin,
 It was such an honor to have you and grandma Sara as grandparents.  You both were such wonderful people and great role models.  You both will be greatly missed.
