October 19, 1923 - May 28, 2014 Herman Brahm quietly ended over 90 years of life on May 28th. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he moved to California in 1946. He served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII and married his beloved Helen when the war ended. In 1951 he became a Mason of the Grand Lodge F. & A.M. Of California. As a member of the California Breeders Association he helped organize horse racing throughout the State for many years. Herman leaves behind Helen, with whom he shared 68 years of adventure, their wonderful sons Douglas (Betsy) and Gary (Hildee), and his amazing grandchildren Annee and Ben. Rabbi Li-Paz will officiate at funeral services to be held 2:00pm on June 1st at Groman Eden Mortuary in Mission Hills. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Masons of California.
