Bruce, a long time Encino resident, passed in his sleep after an extended illness. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri and attended University of Missouri where he earned a degree in Business and was a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. After college he worked for City National Bank in Kansas City.

After the bank was purchased by Mitsui, Bruce stayed on for a time before retiring in the mid-90s. After that he was devoted full time to his home, his wife, Selma and to his golf game. Bruce loved spending time in Palm Springs, Las Vegas and skiing Mammoth Mountain.
He was predeceased by his parents, Irving and Bernice and his brother, Lawrence. Bruce is survived by his wife of 40+ years, Selma; son, Robert, adoptive son, Mark and adoptive twin daughters, Linda and Lisa; step daughter Jacque Meyers, stepson, Jeff Meyers and his adoring little dog, Dora.
