

He leaves four loving children, Evelyn(David) Shnier, David Zweig, Peggy (Brad) Hanne, Dr. Milton (Kristina) Zweig, ten grandchildren- Esther (Simcha) Mowery, Sholom (Ziba) Kaufman, Avrohom (Zisi) Kaufman, Elana (David) Bondy, Jacqueline Zweig, Adam Zweig, Kristi Butterworth, Cassidy Butterworth, Matthew Zweig and Leah Zweig. He was adored by 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves his niece, Betty Weiss.
He and his wife, Lanny Zweig (Lehman) who predeceased him by eight months enjoyed a happy marriage that lasted 67 years.
He survived the Holocaust, lived in Colombia for 20 years and eventually settled in Los Angeles. Despite lacking any higher education, he was the classic self-made man, earning the nickname The Professor for his extensive knowledge. After a successful career in the insurance business, he and Lanny moved to Carlsbad.
Arnold was organized, disciplined and generous with his advice and encouragement. He was a true role model of what it means to be a husband and a father. His family was his greatest joy and he will be missed by them all.
He was predeceased by his older brother, Gerhard and his parents Georg and Erna Zweig.
