Allen "Sonny" Horowitz, age 77, of Indio, California, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 (7 Tamuz 5778). Sonny was born October 12, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Max and Mollie (neé Silverstein) Horowitz. Sonny was Honorably Discharged from the United States Navy.
Beloved Father, Papa, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, and Friend, Allen Horowitz is survived by and forever remembered with love, and thanks, by his two children, Julie Horowitz and Daniel (Karon) Horowitz; his grandkids, Diego, Frankie Rose, and Vivienne; his brothers, Brian (Meryl) Horowitz and Louis Horowitz; his sisters, Jackie (Lovell) Conner and Marcia (Barry) Rosin. He was preceded in passing by his sister, Helen Schulman, Of Blessed Memory.
Known to most as Sonny, he was a business owner and a man who worked his whole life on behalf of his family. Always with something to give- a smile, a laugh, a joke, some help, or a two dollar bill. He will be missed by all, but never forgotten. He will remain forever in the hearts of his loved ones.
Funeral services for Sonny will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Groman Eden Mortuary, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA. Services will be officiated by Rabbi Ron Hauss, and will conclude graveside, in Eden Memorial Park.
