Alan Rochlin Markowitz, age 74, of Indio, California, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 (14 Kislev 5778). Alan was born January 12, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, to Harry and Anne (nee Rochlin) Markowitz.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Nina Markowitz; his daughters, Phoebe (Greg) Ogan and Addie Markowitz; his sons, Jeff (Tania) Fields and David (Angela) Fields; his sister, Elayne (Sidney, Of Blessed Memory) Schottenfeld; his nieces, Faith Schottenfeld and Ellen Schottenfeld, his nephew, Howard Jacob, his z great-nephew, Matthew Schottenfeld; and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Brayden, Brenden, Tyler, Paloma, Rocky, and Clover.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anne Markowitz, Of Blessed Memories; his sister and brother-in-law, Sistie and Martin Jacobs, Of Blessed Memories; and his brother-in-law, Sidney (Elayne) Schottenfeld, Of Blessed Memory.
Funeral services for Alan will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, in the Eternal Light Chapel of Groman Eden Mortuary. Services will be officiated by Rabbi Jessica Yarkin, and will conclude graveside, in Eden Memorial Park. Serving as casket bearers are Jeff Fields, David Fields, Greg Ogan, Ron Stein, Barry Forman, Harlan Katz, Gary Engle, and Mark Singer.
