Douglas Hood of Mission passed away peacefully on April 22nd 2011. Born in 1920 he lived in Mission all his life, as a husband, a father, a teacher and a lover of humanity. He is predeceased by his loving wife Gladys and leaves behind his two sons John and Donald, a brother Stuart, a niece Verna as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many friends in Mission and at Carrington House. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and were touched by his gentle soul. A grave side service will be held at Hatzic Cemetery in Mission on Saturday April 30th 2011 at 11:00a, followed by a celebration of life at the Best Western hotel on Lougheed hwy in Mission at 12:00 noon.
