Brent was born in Mission on November 15th, 1962. He was predeceased by his partner Wayne Maclean and father Clifford Rock.
Brent is survived by his mother Marjorie Rock, brother Brian (Mina), aunt Dorothy Laxton and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Brent graduated from Mission Senior Secondary in 1980. He attended several post secondary institutions to study music (piano) and graphic arts.
For the next 30 years Brent resided in Alberta where he was actively involved in the hospitality and music industry. In Edmonton, he worked at various restaurants and traveled the province with the Alberta Opera Society. He returned to the Lower Mainland for 3 years where he met his partner Wayne and managed the Peoples Drug Mart in the Mission Hills Mall. Brent and Wayne returned to Alberta and established a very successful Bed and Breakfast (Foxwood Manor) in Calgary. Brent was also the Musical Director at Stage West Dinner Theatre. Later they moved to the small farming community of Water Valley and opened the Aspen Cafe Restaurant.
In 2018 Brent returned to Mission where he rekindled many old relationships and dedicated his time volunteering in the community. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 23rd at the Clarke Theatre, 33700 Prentis Ave, Mission BC at 1pm. In "lieu of flowers" voluntary donations can be made to: The Mission Hospice Society, The Mission Foundation or the Mission Meals on Wheels.
