Barbara Joan Bates

Born December 19, 1944 in Toronto, Ontario.

Barb is survived by her husband, Bill Bates, daughter, Valerie Owen, brothers Greg and Mike Finch and her many step-children.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, Andrew Sansom, and parents, Harold and Joan Finch.

We are shocked and struggling to process and accept that she is gone. She and her infectious laugh will be greatly missed by many.

Everyone who knew Barb would agree that she was a one of a kind, incredible person with so much pride and a great sense of humour. She did everything in life the way she wanted to.

Her photo here reflects likely the proudest moment of her life when she retired from decades of loyal service in a highly respected position with Dywidag Systems International. She loved her Bingo and weekly visit to the Casino. Barb also had a passion for cats.

Keeping with Barb's wishes, there will be no Service and upon cremation, her ashes will be interned at the Finch Family plot in Toronto, Ontario.
