William Boyd Beaver, 86, of Mint Hill, went to be with his Father in Heaven on July 31, 2020. He was born in Mint Hill on January 4, 1934. He went to Bain Academy, then to East Mecklenburg High School. He later married the love of his life, Virginia Mae Mathis on June 6, 1954 at Chantilly Baptist Church in Charlotte.
Boyd worked all his life as a Sales Representative for Allison Erwin, Morton Salt, French's and Schreiber Cheese Company. He was a Deacon for the Church, a member of Mint Hill Masonic Lodge 742 and a member of the Scottish Rite. He loved cars and working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia M. Beaver, of 66 years. His daughter, Dena B. McLaughlin, and her husband, James Brice McLaughlin Jr. Their children James William McLaughlin and Timothy Brice McLaughlin, all of Mint Hill. His precious baby girl, Dari B. Cope and her husband, Roy Thomas Cope. Their children, Joye Lynn Cope and Jonathan Thomas Cope, all from Kannapolis; and his brother, Johnson Perry Beaver of Charlotte.
