Sheila M. Stroud

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at McEwen – Mint Hill Chapel. A service from the graveside will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 201 at Sharon Memorial Park with The Reverend Bruce Powell officiating.

Sheila was born December 31, 1946 and grew up in Matthews, NC. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who loved by many. She struggled with acute rheumatoid arthritis most of her life and was extremely brave to the end. Sheila loved people and life.

Survivors include her husband, Michael C. Stroud; daughter, Lucinda Stroud; mother, Fran Morris; sister, Marion Quinn and her husband, Richard “E” Quinn; brother, H. Burt Morris and his wife, Annette Morris; three loving nieces and their families; and girlfriends who loved her like a sister.

Sheila had a loving heart for those in need, therefore, in lieu of flowers and in honor of Sheila’s life, please extend a gift to someone that you know that may need a helpful hand.
