Rev. Robert Baruch Ledford Sr.

The youngest of eight children, Robert was born on January 1, 1934 to the late Colon and Creola Ledford.

Robert graduated from Harrisburg High School and furthered his education at Gardner Webb, Wake Forest University and Southern Theological Seminary. He pastored churches in Wake County as well as Odell, Ansonville, and Northside Baptist Church. After serving in the ministry he worked in real estate and construction, and later retired as a building inspector for Mecklenburg county.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Yates Ledford and siblings; Maye Winget, Rubye Mees, C.A. Ledford, Sue Davenport, W.C Ledford, Aileen Affronti, and Paul Ledford.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert Ledford Jr., daughter, Kimberly Ledford, and two grandchildren Daniel Anthony and Lauren Anthony.

Family and friends will celebrate Robert's life at 11:00am on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church 2817 Mt. Harmony Church Road Matthews, NC 28105. Private interment will take place at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.
