Nancy Greene

A native of Lexington, North Carolina, Nancy was a loving wife and mother of two wonderful children, Joshua and Mary-Elizabeth. She worked as a legal secretary for almost 50 years and happily retired to her porch in 2017. Nancy was an avid reader who taught her children to read as early as possible so she could return to her own books. She also loved playing video games---including Dr. Mario, Zuma and Monster Busters—and the piano. She was even working towards buying a new piano with which to revisit her love of music.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Ray Arnold Greene; and her two children, Joshua Daye Greene and Mary-Elizabeth Greene. She also leaves behind her sisters, Deborah Everhart and her husband, Bruce, and Kathleen Carter.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Jacob Ensley Greene; and her parents, Rev. Carl T. Daye and Wanda Holt O’Daniel Daye.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, June 18, 2022, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a service to celebrate her life immediately following at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
